Valkyrie's Cocktail

Ingredients
- 1.5 oz 45 ml bourbon
- 0.75 oz 22 ml elderflower liqueur
- 0.5 oz 15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 0.25 oz 7 ml honey syrup (mix equal parts honey and hot water, then let it cool)
- 2-3 dashes of orange bitters
- Fresh rosemary sprig for garnish
- Lemon twist for garnish
Instructions
- Start by chilling a cocktail glass. You can place it in the freezer or fill it with ice and water while you prepare the ingredients.
- In a cocktail shaker, add the bourbon, elderflower liqueur, freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey syrup, and the dashes of orange bitters.
- Fill the shaker with ice, ensuring it's at least 2/3 full.
- Shake the mixture vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill and dilute the drink. You'll notice the shaker becomes frosted on the outside.
- Discard the ice from the chilled cocktail glass.
- Strain the cocktail into the chilled glass using a Hawthorne strainer or fine mesh strainer to keep out ice and citrus pulp.
- Garnish your Valkyrie's Cocktail with a fresh rosemary sprig and a lemon twist. You can express the lemon twist by holding it over the glass, gently pinching it to release the oils, and running it around the rim before dropping it into the drink.
