  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste

Instructions

For the Meatballs:

  • In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Allow them to sit for a few minutes until the breadcrumbs have absorbed the milk.
  • In a separate large bowl, mix the ground beef, ground pork, grated Parmesan, chopped onion, parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Add the breadcrumb-milk mixture and combine thoroughly.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a tray, ready for grilling.

For Grilling:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F or 190-200°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.
  • Place the meatballs on the grill and cook for approximately 8-10 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have grill marks.

For the Bourbon Glaze:

  • In a saucepan, combine ketchup, bourbon, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  • Stir the glaze ingredients together and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Simmer the glaze for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and becomes glossy.

To Serve:

  • Drizzle the bourbon glaze over the grilled Viking Bourbon Meatballs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Serve these delectable grilled meatballs as an appetizer at your feast, accompanied by toothpicks for easy serving.
